say no to military



How stupid it is that someone like me, some person without any influence on anything, decides one day to stop all wars, cancel all military and establish never-ending world peace? I think it is great and that is why I will give it a try. Here goes...

Here are the facts:

Wars are always fought for the benefit of the few

Throughout the history people tried to sell the idea that wars are fought for higher causes. This is bullshit! Wars are always fought for private gain of a very small number of individuals who somehow manage to manipulate thousands and millions of others. This was never more true than today thanks to mass media.

Wars are made by military

You need a painted to make a painting, a carpenter to make a table, a film director and an actor to make a film, and you need a soldier and a general to make a war.

Military has one purpose

Military is made to destroy and kill. That's it. Everything else is just marketing to make it more acceptable and easily sellable (so it can recruit its main weapon - people). Military is not about defence, it is about destruction, about war.

Military is made of individuals

No matter how much people try to hide behind institutions when it comes down to pulling a trigger, designing a bomb or driving a tank it is always up to an individual to do this. Individual person makes a decision to do this. Individual chooses to kill and be part of a system which is designed to kill.

Individuals have the power to choose

If you are an individual and you are in any way part of military or you work for military than you are taking an active part in the process of war and destruction. There is no way around it. It is up to you to make this decision. You can never hide behind anything, it is absolutely only your choice.

If individuals choose not to be part of military than military will stop existing

It is possible that all of the people who are part of military systems or work for military decide not to be part of it. It might not happen in the next five minutes but it should happen at some point because war is not necessary even though they try to convince us it is.

Make the choice

If you are part of the military or work for the military make a choice not to do that shit work anymore. If you are a patriot than there are plenty of better things you can do to help your neighbours. If you love to kill again it is better if you are a mass murderer than a soldier. If you have nothing else to do I suggest you look into volunteer work. If you love to be an authority or you love to be told what to do than join the police force or fire department. Just do not be part of military. It is not ethical. War is mass murder and it makes every individual who is part of it into a murderer.

I only hope this clumsy text inspires all people into avoiding war forever.
